Previous Chapter

Tenshi screamed, but it wouldn't let her go. The youma's claws closed around her throat. She shut her eyes and tried to pry the claws off with no prevail. The sharp edges cut her throat a bit, blood dropped onto her shirt collar. Her life slipped away and she was filled with darkness.

"Tenshi, Tenshi . . . you must make peace with Tomiko, Tenshi." A soft voice spoke to her.

"What? Who's Tomiko?!"

"Make peace with her, Tenshi, or everything will be lost . . . "

"NO WAIT, WHO'S TOMIKO?"

The train pulled into the stop roaring and screeching, drowning out all the sounds of it's new passengers. People pushed past each other to possibly get a seat in the already way-overcrowded cars. 'Dammit! I hate taking the fuckin' train! Never can get a mother fuckin' seat!' Akira thought. 'I hate being so goddam close to these goddam people!' The doors shut with a bang then the train pulled out of the station. Just as they were pulling into the next stop someone tapped her on the shoulder. A woman with reddish-orange hair spoke to her, her voice was drowned out to the other passengers by the train's screeching, but Akira had heard her clearly. She shouted at the woman, who was getting off and was about to follow her when the doors slammed shut in her face.

"So anyway . . . my dream said for me to 'make peace with Tomiko." Tenshi told Niomi, Tama and Nari while they were walking from school. Brian was watching them from a computer-like screen. 'Tomiko, huh?'

"Estelle? Who's Tomiko?"

Estelle paused and looked up at them, "T-Tomiko?"

"Yeah."

Estelle sighed, "I never thought I'd hear of her again."

"Who is she?" Tama picked up the cat.

"Yeah, and why do you seem so upset?" Nari added.

"I seem so upset," Estelle growled, "because Tomiko is one of the most dangerous creatures in the universe."

Their eyes widened. "You can't be serious!" Tenshi exclaimed.

"What about Neo-Queen Beryl?!" Nari asked.

"Well, that's the thing. . . Tomiko is Neo-Queen Beryl."

"I have to make peace with -- Neo-Queen Beryl?" Tenshi almost choked on her words.

"I guess you have to find her, hopefully the Negaverse hasn't yet."

"Wait? What?" Niomi look at Estelle funny.

"Yeah, that doesn't make sense, isn't Neo-Queen Beryl the ruler of the Negaverse?" Nari looked very confused.

"Not yet," Estelle sighed again. They came up to Tenshi's house and decided to hold a quick meeting.

"OK, so explain to us everything."

Estelle hopped up on Tenshi's bed so she could be heard better, "Tomiko was born of Queen Beryl. Her father however was human. That is why there is the possibility that she may have been born to a human family. If she was then I'm willing to bet that the parents are dead."

"You mean Tomiko killed her mom and dad?" Niomi asked her head shaking at the thought.

"It's possible. . . but it is also possible that the Negaverse-Queen Beryl herself- did the killing, rather than Tomiko." Estelle continued gravely, "Tomiko, if she lives on earth probably has killed others if not, or including her parents."

"Is Tomiko complete evil?" Tama took a turn in asking a tough question.

"Only if she was raised in the Negaverse."

"So as long as she was born on earth we have some hope right?"

"Some. She is incredibly strong and her hatred towards anything, such as maybe you, will make her fight until death, no matter what it is or what hardships she may go through."

"If she is on earth, then how can we find out who she is?"

"She knows."

Tenshi looked up, "I don't want to make peace with her! Not someone like that! If I find out who she is, I'm going to kill her!"

"That is- if you'll let yourself, Tenshi. . ."

"OF COURSE I WILL!"

"But Tenshi, you are her sister. . . "

"Don't ever say that name to me again. . ." Akira's eyes were dark slits and her voice was low, threatening.

"What's wrong with it?" Brian asked, his voice quiet.

"Just don't. I will kill you if you use that name in my presence again." She looked up at him fire burning in her eyes, fire of hate.

"Uh- I'm sorry, Akira."

Brian caught up with the others, "Hey um can I ask you a question?"

"What?" Rowen said not looking at him.

"Who's Tomiko?" They all stopped, Rowen turned his expression matched Akira's earlier one.

"Why do you mention her?"

"I heard it." Brian became nervous.

"From whom?!"

"What?"

"WHO MENTIONED TOMIKO?!" Rowen grabbed the boy's collar.

"It was Tenshi!" Immediately he was dropped.

"Damnit! Tenshi knows about Tomiko, shit, motherfuck. . ." Rowen mumbled some other words under his breath. He stormed off pushing past the others.

"All I asked was-"

"We know. . ." Iris frowned, "We heard you." She walked away too.

Brian looked to Yuuki, "Hey don't ask me kid, I'm as in the dark as you."

They both looked to Bruce, "Don't yell at me, I've already had three people get mad, which didn't solve much, just please tell me."

"Tomiko. I'll try and explain her."

Tenshi couldn't concentrate, she felt sick and dizzy. At times she even felt like she was outside of herself. After school she headed for the park, her only sanctuary. 'How could one of the most evil creatures in existence be my sister? I'm not part youma am I?! No wait. . . Estelle said she was my half-sister. Anyway if I were part youma then I'd be evil too, and that just wouldn't make sense.' Tenshi sighed,

"God I'm so frustrated."

"You're frustrated?!" A voice scoffed. Tenshi turned around. "Now Honestly, what do you have to be 'so frustrated' about?"

"Not much more than you, Akira."

"And how would you know about my problems?"

"Enough."

"Bullshit, that's what you're sayin' and that's what ya know. Bullshit."

Tenshi stood up," Look Akira why don't you just give it a rest huh?! My life is bad enough without you coming in and being so mean to me!"

Akira sighed, "You're life is heaven compared to mine. At least you have a mom and dad. Hell, I'd settle for a cousin 1,000 times removed! I've been on my own since I was six years old! You probably couldn't survive on you own for a day!" Tenshi stared at her in surprise. Akira froze, "Shit, man. . . just forget what I said now, OK? I didn't mean to say it. Look I'll see ya OK?" Tenshi saw her walk away, 'Jesus, Akira has no parents. But she's so mean and violent. How could I possibly feel sorry for her?'

"Aw man I really fucked up. . . "

"What happened?"

"I told Tenshi about my mom and dad. I didn't mean to! It was an accident. . ."

"Well, what's so wrong about that?"

"She might figure out- um y'know. . . and anyway I don't want her to feel bad or anything for me."

"What makes you think she will? She hates you."

"Well, despite popular belief, Tenshi is human."

"Really? Now, that's new. . ."

"Don't worry she won't figure it out."

"I have to ask her sometime. . ." Tenshi said to herself. She saw Akira walking down the street. The snow crunched under her boots, and the cold burned. Tenshi ran up to Akira then slowed down knowing the consequences of sneaking up on someone who was so aware of her surroundings.

"What?"Akira said flatly.

"Um, OK uh Akira?"

"Yes. .?" She hissed. Her tone was so cold she was surprised to see the steam that hot breath creates when one breathes during winter.

"Who's Tomiko?"

Akira stopped, "Tomiko. . ." her voice was icy now, "Why?"

"I want to find out who she is, and kill her."

"I thought she is your sister?"

"Yes, but I have to kill her. She's dangerous."

"I know that, Tenshi." Akira turned and looked into Tenshi's eyes, "I would kill her, I've tried to kill her, but she can't die."

"She can't die?! You know who she is?!"

"I've known who she is all my life."

"All your life. . ."

"My parents are dead, Tenshi. Because of Tomiko."

"Then tell me who she is! Get revenge!"

"I've tried. . . I told you. I have no trouble with killing her. But she can't die."

"How do you know? Maybe I should try!"

"Tenshi, I know because. . ." Akira looked up at the gray sky, snow began to fall.

"'Because'?"

Akira looked back at Tenshi, "Because- Tomiko is me."
