An attack.
We told everyone to hide and ran at the enemy. All
five of us. Our faces all bore grim, but knowing expressions,
with one thought in all of our minds; The enemy
has arrived.
Four generals leading four armies, but something
had changed since they were the prince's court. Their
eyes had lost their shine, making them look older
then their young twenties.
This is exactly what I first envisioned, except-The
princess!
I yelled to the other four to fight here, and all
nodded, but Mars' face suddenly turned white as she
mouthed 'good-bye'
What did she mean by that? Just before the attack,
she was about to tell me something that she saw in
the fire, but there wasn't time. Did she know our
fates? If the others knew, would they have fled? No.
They would die for our princess, as would I. 'Will.'
I could hear a voice that sounded like Sailor Mars'
whisper in my mind. Was that supposed to mean that...Will
this be my final battle? I didn't have time to think
about it, I have to reach Selenity.
I ran as hard as I could, then I saw him. It wasn't
Zoisite this time; it was Kunzite. That was bad, he
was the best general of the four in strength, knowledge,
and tactics. But a silent assassination was not his
style, something was strange. No time to think
Hoshi, just run! I reached Selenity at the same
time as Kunzite. She was huddled in the corner, and
Prince Endymion was shielding her with his own body.
"Kunzite, you traitor." He growled, brandishing his
sword.
Kunzite blinked. His eyes held no recognition of
his former prince and friend. "Will that be all?"
he formed black energy in one hand and reached back
to throw it at the two.I leapt, hard and fast, in
an attempt to hit Kunzite into the wall. To my surprise,
he easily stepped to the side and I barely kept my
balance as I turned to face him.
He couldn't do that if he was concentrating on
the energy, which means it was a hologram. He didn't
intend to hurt either Endymion or Selenity, he was
waiting for me to make the first move.
He chuckled, "Ah, so the little Sailor Senshi makes
the scene." I threw myself to the side as
he threw a ball of REAL energy at me. Another difference,
he was one hell of a lot nicer before he betrayed
his prince. Well duh, there's this thing called evil...
Hey, don't mock me! Good lady, I'm arguing with myself.
"Why were you waiting for me?!" I gave him my most
murderous glare, but inside I was terrified. This
is probably the best general in the galaxy, and I'm
challenging him. Why is Selenity just sitting there?
Endymion, take her inside! Damn...I wish I could project
my thoughts.
"So you do catch on quickly. Good, Beryl will be
very pleased."
"Answer the question, Kunzite!" My faith was wavering,
why did Kunzite have to be so good at that?
"Beryl has offered you an invitation to join our
side, I'm here to deliver the message." What?!?!
This is bad. Selenity, leave! Just read my thoughts
for once and leave! Go to your mother, she can help
you. Now, please! She didn't move.
"Tell her I decline her offer." And then tell
her to go to hell.
"She will not accept that answer." He formed another
ball of energy, significantly larger then the last,
"Must I bring up the fact that she can brainwash you
dead or alive?" I do not like this... He threw
the ball, but when I jumped again, it burst and hit
me, but to my surprise, it didn't hurt. I feel
a little numb...And it's kind of hard to think. I
can't summon an energy attack-what did Kunzite do?
Kunzite smiled and disappeared.
"Princess, leave now! You too, Prince."
"You need a doctor." Selenity's eyes were full of
worry. I don't know...
"I'm fine, it doesn't even hurt. Leave. I'll be alright."
Why do I always have to be the one giving orders?
It's so tiring... They should just learn to think
for themselves. Wait, what am I thinking?
"But..."
"Come on, she's a senshi, she can take care of herself."
Thank you, Endymion. Now get her inside.
"But you two can't." Doesn't he ever give up?
I just want him to leave so that I can rest. So tired
of fighting...
"Who are you people?" No, Selenity, I said go
inside. And besides, never challenge someone who has
the power to kill you! I shouldn't talk...
"Don't you know?"
"Kunzite, get out of here, you're not touching her!"
I guess I still have to fight. Thankfully,
his first attack couldn't keep me from physical confrontation,
even if it clouded my thoughts a bit... I summoned
a sword to add threat to my words.
"Would you like to fight to determine that?" He leapt
backward off the balcony and landed gracefully on
two feet. I followed suit and charged at him. Too
late, I noticed him smiling smugly. "Sailor Sun, you
aren't thinking at your best today, are you?" What?
Why that self-assured son of a- just then, I heard
a scream and cackling behind me, and as if to prove
his point, he waved a hand at the balcony. I looked
up and saw-NO!
"PRINCESS!"
I have failed. My princess is dead, as is the
prince of Earth. I turned completely around and
saw Queen Selenity run to the balcony. I know what
happens from here on. She pulled out two crystals-wait,
two? She looked sadly towards me and one drifted
down to my hand. It was golden in color, and in a
diamond shape, but what is it? 'The Sun Crystal'
that voice... Mom?
As the sun crystal touched my gand, it glowed brightly
and split. Half went into my body, and the other half
flew into the sky. I looked back up to see Selenity
pulling out the ginzuishou. I have to protect her
until she can finish sealing everyone. As the
Queen's gaze met mine, her eyes widened in shock.
Why is she looking at me like that... just
as I was about to ask her what was wrong, I felt my
energy drain from my body. I fell to the ground and
looked up to see Kunzite standing above me with a
look of satisfaction. I realized that my senshi uniform
had dissappeared in place of a suit similar to that
of the four generals. No! I can't join them-I won't!
I tried to get up, but Kunzite kneeled down and
held onto my arm as I felt us being teleported away.
I let my head fall back in defeat. I have no choice…
As our surroundings began to dissapear, I saw that
the prince, princess, and all of the senshi had been
sealed by the ginzuishou and were being sent to Earth.
I squinted to see Luna and Artemis run up to the Queen
as she collapsed. She smiled gently and said something
that I couldn't make out. The ginzuishou glowed and
the cats were sent on their way to Earth as well.
Queen Selenity's skin pailed. She looked wearily towards
me and mouthed something as her eyes closed.
Damn you, Kunzite. I'm sorry, Princess, Queen.
I've failed you both. Mars, you did know, didn't you?
Well, you were right. If we meet again, don't pause
to say 'hi.' Good-bye.
