It was another boring old Saturday in Tokyo.
Well, at least it's warm..... Tenshi thought. A small
breeze lifted up the blue curtains in her living room.
But that doesn't change the fact that it's boring......
With a sigh she flopped down on the couch and turned
on the TV. She flipped through the channels. ~Sailormoon!~
The voices on the TV sang out. Tenshi gripped the
remote stood up and shouted in frustration," THE ONLY
THINGS ON ARE KIDS' SHOWS!!!!!" She threw the remote
to the floor, where it slammed against the leg of
the table. The battery cover popped out and the batteries
rolled around the floor.
"Well, this would be a good time for you to, oh....
I don't know.... Finish your schoolwork??" Estelle
came into the room yawning. Tenshi had been putting
the remote together when she had said that. A battery
flew at Estelle who dodged it with a yowl. "The way
you treat me makes me think I'd be better out on the
street...." Estelle picked up the battery in her teeth
and gave it to Tenshi. Tenshi yawned and stretched.
She went to the front hall and changed from her slippers
to her blue sneakers. She grabbed her purse and slammed
the door in Estelle's tired face.
After a few hours of unsuccessful shopping Tenshi
was passing through the park, she sat down on an old
green bench. The bench was hot from the sun, but it
didn't seem to bother her.
"I want to be Sailor Constellation! You be the monster!"
A small girl shouted.
"No! I'm always the monster!" A second girl shouted.
"Yeah well, I have purple hair!"
Tenshi looked to the voices. It was true the girl
did have purple hair. A bit darker than hers and had
more blue tones, but she did have purple hair. Tenshi
smiled, then looked up to the sky, she shut her eyes.
The inside of her eyelids looked reddish-orange.
The color melded into may colors, then a blurred
scene, finally she saw a battle area. It was dark
and cold there. Fallen pillars were crumbling and
large pieces of buildings were crashing down on trapped
people. Sometimes they covered more than the person
so all she saw, when they fell was blood, around the
outside of the piece of the building. Other times
maybe there was an arm that had been smashed off or
a leg that had been ground off so bad that it slipped
a few feet away. In one case, she even saw a person's
head, the lower part of the neck had been crushed,
the aorta was cut and bright red blood sprayed from
it.
"Don't look at it. You'll lose the fight in you."
A soft familiar voice warned.
Tenshi turned her head, standing by her was Sailor
Earth. Silence surrounded them, no screams, no blasts.
Sailor Earth looked up, Tenshi was about to follow
her stare when she was pushed down under a fallen
pillar. The silence stopped as something hit the point
she was just standing at. Tenshi was pushed across
the ground pain stung her and she didn't know why.
"Holy Shit! Your legs are all bloody!" Tenshi sat
up, she was right, she had large gashes in her legs
where bright red blood flowed out. A figure appeared
not to far from them, it smiled evilly. The figure
held up its hand and a ball of energy began to collect.
"Mother fuck-" Sailor Earth was cut off.
Tenshi saw Earth's face turn toward her. Her eyes
opened and she looked around. No battle scene, no
dead people, no Sailor Earth, no evil. It was just
a park on a warm day. That vision disturbed her. Tenshi
shuddered as a chill went down her spine.
"Hey, you all right?" A warm hand rested on her shoulder.
"Yeah, you look terrified!"
Tenshi looked from speaker to speaker, "Niomi?
Tama?"
"Yeah who else?" Niomi munched on something.
"So are you OK? We've been calling you on your communicator
for so long and you didn't answer."
"We used a locator Tama made to find you."
Tenshi shook her head getting back to reality, "Yeah,
I'm fine. What's going on?"
"Well....."
At Nari's house the three and Nari were sitting
in the living room Nari slid a paper across the table.
Tenshi picked it up," WHAT!??????"
"Yeah, we all pretty much had the same reaction."
Nari told her.
"I-I-how could they?"
Tama cleared her throat,"I think the enemy is more
advanced than we are. Unless it's not the enemy and
it's the other Celestials?"
Niomi held her head," This is sooooo complicated."
"I don't think it's the others." Astro had hopped
up on the table and read the paper.
"No?" Tama looked interested.
"How do you know?" Nari asked.
Miika jumped up on the table and began reading too,"
It says right here."
Nari picked it up again. "Four free passes to see
a special airing of the Celestial movie. Pets allowed."
He shrugged.
"Read the other side." Estelle suggested.
He gave her a questioning look and turned it over.
In bold letter is it read," The Celestial Movie!"
and then continued on in smaller letters," The Celestial
Movie is about the new super heroes in town! It will
reveal their supposedly secret identities! It will
go through the day in the life of a Celestial Scout!
Including the mysterious and strange older Celestials!
Starring in order....."
"Yeah, they wouldn't do that would they?" Niomi asked.
"Of course not!" Tama shouted.
"Jeez...." Niomi righting herself, Tama rarely yelled
like that.
Well, this is interesting...... Rowen thought and
moved from the wall he was leaning on. Tenshi, Nari,
Niomi and Tama were standing in front of the Multiplex
theater at midnight. They had already transformed,
just in case.
"This is it?" Tenshi asked, keeping her voice down.
"That's what it says." Nari held up the card.
A strange voice beckoned them, "Hello, let's see
your pass."
Nari handed a tall woman the card. "Go right in."
She waved her arm for them to enter. They did. The
whole theater lit up when they entered.
"Hey this is like that 'Monica' video, y'know on
the soundtrack to 'Space Jam'?" Niomi said," Y'know
how the theater lights up and stuff......? Heh....."
They walked into the movie theater. The previews
began. All of them were for movies no one ever heard
of. Then finally the movie started. In the very back,
stood some people, watching the screen, waiting for
something to happen.
It's amazing.... It really is us.... Tenshi thought.
Hey! I remember that! Where'd they get all this footage?
Niomi thought staring at the screen.
A few hours later the movie ended. Before anyone
could get up, they were locked to their seats.
"And now for the finale! This is how my movie goes!"
A woman who looked like a director stood on a seat
in the front. She held up a camera."Ready! ACTION!"
Her camera turned on and projected a monster. "This
is gonna be easy, fun, but easy!" The monster said
in a throaty voice.
"Um, uh oh...." Tenshi said. They struggled in their
seats.
"You think we should help 'em?"
"Oh, I guess......."
A shock of sound waves hit the monster, it was like
an echoing thunderclap. The Celestials twisted in
their seats to see who it was.
"Can you see?" Tama asked.
"No.. it's too dark." Nari answered.
"EARTH STAR MAGIC!" The familiar voice of Sailor
Earth screamed out.
The energy, obviously emitted from the sword, slashed
the monster's side. Some film rolled out where blood
would've been.
"Yeah, kick some ass!" Earth shouted, and she emerged
from the darkness, next to her was the boy with the
green-brown armor.
The monster held out a hand, "Slash my side will
you?!" Rolls of film went flying at Sailor Earth.
The boy was gone. The film wrapped around Sailor Earth's
stomach and neck. It became tighter and tighter cutting
off her breathing. The film monster laughed, and the
younger Celestials still struggled in their seats.
"Hey you fuck! You're ass is going down!" Someone
shouted, in less than three seconds the feeling of
new weight hit the monster in the face. There was
darkness and then it opened it's eyes again.
Sailor Earth fell to her knees, "Thank you....."
"Always wait till the last minute, it looks cooler...."
"Sure it does...." Sailor Earth gasped still trying
to remember how to breathe. She motioned her hand
to the monster, "Do the honors my truly demented friend?"
"Why thank you." He bowed.
Before the monster knew it, it was down on the ground
shaking from the sound shockwave.
"Lightning strikes, but thunder kills..."
"That make absolutely no sense....."
"I know! But it sounded good."
"Actually it, did..... amazing...." Sailor Earth
stood up.
The monster followed, "It's slashin' time, man!"
"Whoo-hoo!" And he continued to mumble the lyrics
to that song.
Sailor Earth frowned staring seriously at her new
enemy. She ran sword drawn, her hair swirling around
her face. Sailor Earth jumped. The slightly dazed
monster looked up, just as the sword came down splitting
it in half. It didn't even have a chance to scream.
Sailor Earth landed on her feet.
"Uh what do we do about them?"
Sailor Earth turned, "Eh, leave em... They'll be
found eventually..... If not oh well......."
The next morning the cleaning crew walked in only
to be surprised by what was sitting in the seats.
There they sat, the Celestials, covered in popcorn,
coke, mustard, ketchup, relish, candy, and just about
anything that could be found in a snack stand at the
theater. Not to mention a few ticket stubs.
